NTNU has extended knowledge and experience in bioprocess engineering, including reactor design, and down-stream processing, and state-of-the-art facilities for investigating complex fluid properties, single and multiphase fluid flow, bubble size distributions, interfacial mass transfer and stepwise reactor scaleup.

NTNU has a proven track record in digital computer-aided metabolic as well as process engineering, including economic process evaluations, process design and control, reactor design, reactor scale-up, and reactor process performance optimization.
